Feeding Medina County Feeding Medina County

Programs

As you read this, more than 11,000 people in Medina County are trying to stretch the $4 a day they receive in SNAP benefits (food stamps) to cover breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Many wonder where their next meal is coming from. Those who struggle to put food on the table experience what is called food insecurity.

Feeding Medina County fights hunger and feeds HOPE by providing these resources directly to our community.

Food Pantry Deliveries - Twice a week, our truck picks up food orders at Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank for local food pantries and delivers those food orders to the food pantries at no cost.
Free Food Distributions - Eligible families receive free feed once a month at the Medina County Fairgrounds.
Weekenders for Children - Healthy food for kids to carry them through the weekend.
Staples for Seniors - Ten pounds of healthy food at the end of each month.
Community Gardens - Families growing their own vegetables right here in Medina.
Local Resources - Other sources of assistance in Medina County.
