About Hunger in Medina County
In 2008, Medina County Job & Family Services issued $7.5 million in SNAP benefits (food stamps) to county residents.
By the end of 2010, over $15 million in SNAP benefits was issued. The need doubled in just two years.

One in four children in Medina County do not have reliable access to food.

Out of 16 counties in Northeast Ohio, Medina County tops the list for greatest income disparity.
Households at the top earn almost $180,000 while those at the bottom earn less than $18,000 per year.

About Us
Feeding Medina County is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization helping to feed families in need in Medina County. We run several programs including delivering food from the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank to local food pantries and distributing food to needy children, families, and seniors here in Medina County.
