Frequently Asked Questions
about Feeding Medina County

Is Feeding Medina County a food pantry?
No, it is not. The food we receive and purchase goes to our two main outreach programs only: Staples for Seniors and Weekenders for Children.

Do you provide hot meals?
We do not serve meals at our facility.

How can I donate to your organization?
Monetary donations may be made via mail or online on our website.  Click the "Donate" button on the top right.

Food donations are welcome, but only these items and sizes. These items are what we put in the bags we pack for children and seniors.

16 oz peanut butter; 20 oz squeezable jelly; 5-7 oz cans of tuna or chicken; 10 oz boxes of (healthy) cereal; macaroni & cheese; fruit (15 oz or less or cups); pudding cups; 15 oz canned vegetables; 10 oz cans of tomato or chicken soup.

Do you need volunteers?
Yes! We would not be able to carry out our programs the way we do without our volunteers. Volunteers are needed for packing bags, helping distribute food at the fairgrounds, and driving our truck. For additional information, fill out the "contact us" page or email our Office Manager at melody@feedingmedinacounty.org.

What are your hours?
Someone is at the office from 8am-3pm.

Where does your food come from?
We purchase food from Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, local grocery stores and receive food through food-drives and donations.
